Indulge your skin in a revolutionary Finnish microbiome-restoring power and experience a new dimension in skin care. This meticulously crafted formula is filled with natural ingredients like humus extract from Finland's forests, making it suitable for all skin types.
Kheoni partnered with Finland’s Aki Sinkkonen and Olli Laitinen who did their research on the ingredients in Helsinki and Tampere Universities of Finland, to get this futuristic moisturizer that is vegan friendly and is extracted sustainably by combining commercially available plant-based compost and plant material, replicating the rich microbial diversity found in the Finnish soil. Why Finland? Because its climatic conditions create a rich microbial diversity in the soil by infusing good bacteria to the skin.
The plant-based and science-backed formula helps in restoring skin barrier integrity leading to faster regeneration and repair, and is also effective in reducing irritation and increased levels of age-defying collagen. This ‘Immunocosmetic’ is where beauty meets immunity.
Science Behind it
The ingredient used in the moisturizer is a microbial extract from Finnish nature which is designed for people who are not in contact with nature daily, it gives a rich microbial exposure. Skin acts as a defensive barrier between our body and the environment and has a vital role as an immunological organ. Microbes stimulate our immune response via receptors (called pattern recognition receptors or PRRs). These PRRs influence the levels of important immunological proteins called cytokines. Cytokines affect the growth of cells that help the body’s immune and inflammation responses. An incorrect balance of these will cause malfunctioning of the immune system. In-vitro studies show that the extract reduces the amount of pro-inflammatory cytokines.
Regular use can strengthen the barrier function of the skin in a relatively short time period of three weeks, resulting in higher resilience of skin against stress factors, such as a chemical irritant, used during in vivo study with participants. While creating skin benefits, we are helping to prevent immune-mediated diseases.
